Ashton Warren

director of pastry

Ashton Warren has been a force on the NYC culinary scene since 2008. After enrolling at Fashion Institute of Technology for fashion design and evening wear, she moved to the Institute of Culinary Education for pastry arts. She then brought her two passions together and launched her own company designing custom wedding cakes and dresses.

Shortly after she took on the Head Pastry position at Marc Forgione. During the 4 years Ashton was the executive pastry chef, the restaurant was awarded consecutive Michelin stars (2010, 2011, 2012) and a two-star review from The New York Times, which cited Ashton's signature dessert creations.

After leaving Marc Forgione group, Ashton took over the kitchen at Duane Park on Bowery. She then began consulting, using her pastry experience and creative ideas to help turn around new or struggling kitchens, and has worked with The Anthony, Antique Bar & Bakery and Walker Hotels. She has been featured on TV and in cookbooks.

As the Director of Pastry for SHIFT, she leads the development of all 2 Dough Boyz recipes, new flavors and innovations, new pastries and desserts for 11th Street Cafe, and pastry development for other concepts in the SHIFT portfolio.
